ABOUT ANTOAN
Antoan is a Kosovar artist and photographer based in Belgium, whose work reflects LGBTQIA+ culture, activism, and feminist topics.
His project ylberDylber is perhaps one of the most sensitive, as it focuses on young queer people from Kosovo. They represent the first generation from Kosovo to openly express their identity.
Antoan explored the topic of coming out with Belgian youth in the project I CAN HEAR YOU BREATHE BUT NOT YOUR WHISPERS.
For the PATRIARCHALIS project, which led to a collective exhibition featuring, among others, Marina Abramovic, he delved into the patriarchal culture within a couple that none other than his parents.
In 2004, he obtained a diploma in CG design.
In 2009, he earned a master's degree from the Fine Arts Academy in "Visual and Spatial Arts."
