The people I photograph can exude pride, hide, appear shy, or even convey a sense of guilt. Their gestures, expressions, posture, and the surrounding context inspire me and evoke memories of my life: the war, nature, emotions, and the blurred line between reality and facade. Who are they, really?
When I create portraits, my approach is to place the viewer directly in front of the subject, allowing them to feel something, even if they weren't physically present in that same moment and place.
