2015 • ARIE • A BOY ROLLING AROUND WITH MUD

Arie is a big big boy. Very big. Much bigger than most of his friends. Arie is big 201 cm.

Arie was born into a Dutch family living in Luxembourg but spent his teenage years in the German-speaking part of Belgium before moving to Liège. As a result, he speaks Dutch, Luxembourgeois, German, French, and English fluently.

He is an architect, but he stopped working as an architect and left for Amsterdam, where he is pursuing a master's degree in contemporary art. All of a sudden, he wanted to become more involved in creating conceptual art rather than traditional constructed art.

Arie is a big fan of the Gabber movement. He says that it's not easy to be a gabber - "You cannot become a gabber when u decide it, because it's a complete and complex lifestyle."
